The Michigan legislators that met with Trump released a statement saying that they haven't seen anything that would change the results in Michigan that Biden won the state and they would abide by the "normal procedures."
Those guys are certainly politicians. I wonder what they mean by "normal procedures?"
Two other senior Michigan Republican legislators seem to be implying that the canvassing board should certify the results on Monday but they haven't actually said that.
It's my understanding that if the canvassing board fails to certify then the Michigan Secretary of State can get a Writ of Mandamus from state court in order to force them to comply. Apparently balking because of concerns about county results that have already been certified is beyond their authority.
In Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger certified the results and Governor Brian Kemp accepted saying he had to "follow the law." Good idea gov. The Trump campaign immediately asked for another recount.
Trump's case in Pennsylvania was dismissed by a federal judge and they are now appealing to the circuit court.
There's also a lawsuit filed in Pennsylvania by a GOP group claiming that Act 77, which expanded mail-in voting, was unconstitutional based upon the Pennsylvania constitution and ALL mail-in ballots should therefore be tossed.
Cases in Nevada and Arizona have also been tossed and Maricopa county has unanimously certified its results despite claims by Trump and company of widespread fraud.
Chris Christie has called Trump's legal team an embarrassment and said Trump should wrap it up already as there has been no evidence of fraud or irregularities presented.
I agree with Christie. This whole thing is a national disgrace.
There is a report that one of the Republicans on the Michigan canvassing board intends to vote no. There's no information about the other Republican member. More on Michigan tomorrow.
