The same story in Bergen County. A slight upward trend.

Still nothing really new on the home front and that's good news.

Now that Roe v. Wade is Gone...

This is for all the "PRO-LIFE" folks. Adoption in the answer right? Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to set up three adoption buckets. A general one, one for babies with genetic problems such as Tay Sachs and one for Black children because it's often hard to find adoptive parents for Black kids.

Then here's how it will work. If we can't find anyone willing to adopt an unwanted child and if the child fits one of the special categories, we'll draw the name of the person to adopt that child from that bucket. If not, or that bucket is empty, we'll draw the name from the general bucket.

Now, my question for the "PRO-LIFE" folks is, which buckets should I put your name in?

The Supreme Court

As expected the Supreme Court has now officially overturned Roe v. Wade by a 6-3 decision. The court has also struck down a New York law requiring a license to carry a firearm.

Both of these decisions are nonsensical and are going to cost lives.

On top of that several court "justices" clearly perjured themselves during nomination hearings when they declared that Roe was "settled law."

To my mind this is grounds for impeachment and the nullification of all of this court's decisions. Of course that's not going to happen and we're going to have to move forward as best we can.

Conservatives are nucking futs. How any reasonable person could make this rulings baffles me. Hey, anti-lynching is "settled law" as well but I would have no problem stringing these bastards up. Well, perhaps that's a bit extreme but we could always tar and feather them.

New Jersey had a healthy drop of about 17%. In the meantime the Health Department website appears to have rolled back to the numbers of June 14. I have no idea what's going on.

A slight rise nationwide of about 2%. Possibly some fallout from the Memorial Day weekend. The federal government is expected to approve vaccines for under 5 year olds this week. How many people will actually have their kids get the shots is a big question mark. Only 36% of children in the 5-12 range have been vaccinated.

Bergen County flattened out as well dropping only 6%. I'm assuming this is due to the Memorial Dat weekend.

So, the kids were over to check out the trains and the older one got to do bank laps around the neighborhood with his aunts and mother. Overall a good day.

Bergen County dropped over 29% but the first two of this week aren't that great.

So I'm cleaning out my basement. Actually I'm trying to get to the Lionel trains I have there because my grandson wants to see them. I can't believe some of the stuff I'm finding included five shoe boxes of photos. The weirdest things were my CAM-18 manual from high school and some photos my uncle took of us in 1974.
