I see that the Texas Freedom Network (a group of religious mainstream folks) have issued a rather uncomplimentary report on one of the more widely used Bible curriculums. While I'm not particularly surprised at the inaccuracies, the plagerism or the shoddy transparent sectarian propaganda, I am stunned that so many school boards were ignorant enough to actually approve the use of this junk.

I have no problem with studying the Bible as a historical or cultural document in the public schools, but I do have a problem when folks try to use such courses as a soapbox for pushing their particular agenda.
