There are currently 28,600,557 reported case in the US and 506,434 deaths.
California has 3,519,609 cases and 49,342 deathsTexas has 2,600,234 cases and 41,481 deaths
Florida has 1,868,772 cases and 29,906 deaths
New York has 1,592,487 cases and 46,317 deaths
Illinois has 1,174,416 cases and 19,964 deaths
We're over half a million deaths in about a year. Luckily the news from the vaccine front continues to be good. Pfizer is now saying that even one shot gives significant protection but I'm still getting a second one.

Again New Jersey dropped a bit as well but not as much as the national drop. The website hasn't updated the number of tests since Friday so the percentage is a little less than 7.8%. My guess is that it would be around 6.5%

Bergen county dropped below 2,000 cases for the first time since early November.
We're still set to get the second Pfizer shot on March 2nd. I go February 26th to hear what horrors they're planning for my mouth. My bridge fell out last week and I had to go get it glued back in. Clearly I need to get this taken care of sooner rather than later. Then there's the issue of my hair. I'm going on a year without a haircut other than a slight clipping in the back done by my daughter. Honestly, I look like hell. I could frighten small children.
