The clowns in Washington can't seem to get their act together. Biden after months of saying that he wasn't going to negotiate is negotiating but, at least so far, there is no agreement. I can't even say with any certainty what, if anything, has been agreed to or what the current proposals are.
Reportedly the wok requirements for Medicaid are a major sticking point.
A group of Democratic Senators led by Bernie Sanders have proposed that Biden invoke the 14th Amendment. A group of 210 Democratic House Members have proposed the same thing. But Biden appears loathe to do so without a previous OK from the courts which of course he's not going to get.
Invoking the 14th Amendment would be better than defaulting so I hope that someone is explaining the to Biden.
